Marc van der Raaij
Marc is our designer and an experienced mechanical engineer. He has extensive knowledge of the maritime industry and he is one of the first people to have developed a battery for maritime applications.
He has experience with battery certification and type approval testing with leading notified bodies. From environmental testing to thermal runaway propagation testing, he organized and executed the tests.
His specialty is in the design of the thermal management of the batteries and the prevention of propagation and safe removal of flammable gas and smoke.
Apart from engineering, he was successful as an account manager for battery systems.
Bram Bonsen
Bram is our system architect. He has a PhD in control system technology and has experience leading development teams in different industries, such as high-tech, automotive, maritime and medical.
He has extensive know how on integrating batteries in different applications. Bram was engineering manager before at a startup in California that developed a complete hybrid drivetrain for trucks, including a battery pack, drivetrain and range extender.
Later, in a maritime battery company, he led his team to redesign an existing battery to comply with maritime standards and to successfully certify the battery with a leading notified body in the maritime industry.
